These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the PDF Compressor mobile application (the “App”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1) License and ownership
The App is licensed, not sold. Subject to these Terms and applicable law, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial use on Apple-branded devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store rules.
All intellectual property rights in the App (including trademarks, copyrights, and other rights) are owned by the Service Provider. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, translate, or create derivative works of the App except to the extent allowed by law.
2) Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- violate any applicable law or regulation;
- interfere with the App’s security, availability, or normal operation;
- use the App to infringe the rights of others.
You are responsible for the content you choose to compress, merge, share, or export and for ensuring you have the necessary rights to use it.
3) Device integrity (jailbreak/root)
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device. The App may not function correctly on devices that are jailbroken, rooted, or otherwise modified to remove operating system restrictions. The Service Provider is not responsible for issues arising from such modifications.
4) Internet connectivity and carrier charges
Some features may require an internet connection (for example, opening external links such as Privacy Policy or Terms pages, loading ads, retrieving purchase/subscription status, or sending emails through third-party services). The Service Provider is not responsible for reduced functionality due to lack of connectivity.
You are responsible for any mobile carrier or third-party charges (including roaming charges) incurred while using the App.
5) Purchases and subscriptions (PDF Compressor Pro)
The App offers an auto-renewable subscription (“PDF Compressor Pro”), which may include benefits such as removing ads and unlocking Pro features.
- Payment and billing: Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at the confirmation of purchase.
- Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- Renewal charges: Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the cost of the selected plan.
- Managing/canceling: You can manage and cancel your subscription in your device settings:
Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions - Free trials (if offered): If a free trial is offered, any unused portion of the trial may be forfeited when you purchase a subscription, as applicable.
- Refunds: Refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with App Store policies and rules.
- Access to features: If your subscription expires or is canceled, Pro features may no longer be available.
Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. The Service Provider does not collect your payment information.
6) Advertising
The App may display advertisements. Ads may be provided by third-party advertising technology providers and may depend on your device settings and, where required, your consent choices.
The Service Provider does not guarantee the availability, accuracy, or suitability of any advertisements displayed.
7) Availability, updates, and compatibility
The Service Provider may modify, update, suspend, or discontinue the App (or any part of it) at any time. Updates may be required to continue using the App. The Service Provider does not guarantee ongoing compatibility with all devices or operating system versions.
You are responsible for keeping your device charged and operational. The Service Provider is not responsible for interruptions caused by your device (including a depleted battery).
8) Disclaimer
The App is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service Provider disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Compression/merge results depend on the structure and content of the files you provide (for example, some PDFs are already optimized and may not be reducible without quality loss). The Service Provider does not guarantee that the App will reduce the size of every file or achieve a specific compression ratio.
9) Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service Provider will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill.
To the extent permitted by law, the Service Provider’s total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the amount paid by you for the App (if any) in the 12 months prior to the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be waived under applicable consumer laws.
10) Third-party services
The App may integrate third-party services and SDKs to provide certain functionality (for example: analytics, advertising, consent management, and purchase/subscription management). Your use of those features may be subject to the third party’s terms and policies.
Feedback backend (temporary note)
The App may provide a feedback feature which may involve third-party backend services (including Supabase) to transmit feedback and attachments when you choose to submit them. This section is included for continuity with a previously submitted version and may be updated in a future version. Your use of any feedback submission feature is voluntary.

11) Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. The Service Provider may suspend or terminate access if you materially violate these Terms or if required by law. Sections that by their nature should survive (including disclaimers and limitation of liability) will survive.
12) Privacy
Your use of the App is subject to the Service Provider’s Privacy Policy, available on https://www.tickedapps.com.
13) Apple acknowledgements (required)
These Terms are between you and the Service Provider, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App.
To the extent permitted by law:
- Apple is not responsible for claims relating to the App or your use of it.
- If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any); Apple has no other warranty obligation.
- Apple and Apple’s subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
14) Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of France, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If you are a consumer residing outside France, you may also benefit from mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence.
To the extent permitted by law, disputes will be submitted to the competent courts in France, unless mandatory consumer laws require otherwise.
